Frequently Asked Questions

Health Coaching With Dr. Torrie Thompson

Do you treat and/or diagnose any conditions?

No, we do not diagnose or treat any specific conditions.  We discover the root cause for why someone is having those symptoms.  From there, we can figure out how to best support the body to allow it to heal and achieve optimal health.

Is lab testing mandatory?

Lab panels are fundamental to really understand what is going on within your body.  Labs give us the answers to create a custom protocol for you with precision.  We can track your progress and make necessary changes to your protocol throughout your journey.

Can we use labs from another doctor?

Absolutely!  If your labs were performed within the last 12 months, you can upload your labs to your client file in Practice Better once you have scheduled your appointment.

What is a virtual practice?

Experience the same care as in person, but from the comfort of your home through a zoom appointment.  We have chosen to be fully virtual to have the ability to work with patients around the world.

I don't live in Texas, can I still work with you?

Absolutely!  We are fully virtual and have clients all over the US and throughout the world.  Labs and supplements can be shipped directly to your home.

Can you work with me if I live outside of the USA?

We have clients all over the world!  We can drop ship labs to most countries.  There is an additional charge for international shipping on the lab kits that ranges from $30-$100 depending on where you live.

Do you accept insurance?

No, insurance doesn't fit the holistic medical model since we don't treat or diagnose any conditions.  Some HSA & FHA will reimburse for health coaching.

The Meraki Difference

Dr. Torrie struggled with her health for years.  Traditional medicine failed to identify the root of her symptoms and give her solutions to finally feel better.
