Meet Our Team

Your Partners in Health and Wellness

Dr Torrie Thompson, DC, DNM

Owner and Founder of Meraki Wellness

BIO:

Dr. Torrie Thompson, DC , is a passionate advocate for holistic health. Her journey into this field was born out of her own decade-long health battle, during which she faced over 20 doctors, multiple misdiagnoses, and ineffective conventional treatments. After discovering she had Lyme disease, Dr. Torrie reclaimed her health through targeted dietary changes, supplementation, and lifestyle optimization. This transformative experience ignited her commitment to helping others uncover the root causes of their symptoms and achieve lasting wellness.

Today, Dr. Thompson is driven by her passion for educating others on the root causes of chronic health challenges—including mold exposure, parasitic infections, environmental toxins, and heavy metals. She has shifted her focus to educating and empowering individuals and healthcare practitioners with the knowledge and tools they need to address these issues effectively.

A sought-after speaker and educator, Dr. Thompson has been a guest on numerous podcasts, featured in several docuseries and health summits, and presented at events like the CellCore BioSciences ECO Seminar. She also co-leads the Labs Unveiled series for healthcare practitioners, equipping them with advanced protocols to tackle mold mycotoxins, heavy metals, parasites and gut optimization.

Dr. Thompson earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life Chiropractic College and holds certifications in functional medicine from the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM), including their esteemed Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice (AFMCP) program. She is also a Doctor of Natural Medicine, blending her diverse expertise to deliver transformative insights into root-cause-focused care.

When she’s not working, Dr. Thompson loves traveling and spending time with her three dogs, Stella, Luna, and Ziggy. You can also often find her on the tennis court!

Lauren Bauer, FDN-P

Health Coach

BIO:

Lauren is a Functional Diagnostic Nutritionist with a heartfelt passion for helping others reclaim their health. She began her career as a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner, working in a traditional medicine setting. However, her personal health journey eventually led her to the holistic side of health, where she discovered the transformative power of addressing root causes rather than just symptoms.

Lauren deeply understands the frustration of “feeling bad” without clear answers. She’s been there—spending thousands of dollars on treatments that offered little more than temporary relief and navigating the overwhelming maze of conflicting advice online. Her personal and professional experiences have fueled her commitment to a root cause approach, which she believes is the foundation of true, lasting wellness.

At the heart of Lauren’s work is a desire to empower her clients to not only feel their best but to fully embrace life with energy and joy every single day.

When she’s not guiding others on their wellness journeys, Lauren loves spending quality time with her three children, basking in the sunshine, and exploring new destinations around the world. She enjoys creating memories (and messes!) in the kitchen and winding down with a cozy movie night on the couch.

Areas of
deep focus

Our team focuses on the interconnected factors that may influence health and wellness. Rather than looking at systems in isolation, we take a broader view to better understand the patterns, exposures, and stressors that may be impacting the body.

Mold & Mycotoxins

We evaluate exposure to mold-related compounds commonly found in water-damaged buildings, HVAC systems, and certain foods. These hidden exposures are frequently overlooked and can be an important piece of the health puzzle.

Environmental Toxins

From plastics and pesticides to VOCs and other environmental chemicals, we investigate common exposures that are part of modern life and often missed during routine evaluations.

Hormone Health

Hormones are influenced by many factors throughout the body. We look beyond hormone levels alone to better understand the broader picture.

Heavy Metals

From seafood and drinking water to occupational and environmental exposures, heavy metals are a common yet frequently overlooked part of the modern world. We evaluate metals such as mercury, lead, cadmium, and arsenic to better understand their potential impact.

Gut Health

Gut health extends far beyond digestion. We investigate microbiome balance, digestive function, microbial stressors, and other factors that may be contributing to broader health patterns.

Microbiome

We investigate tick-borne illnesses, parasites, and other microbial stressors that are frequently missed, despite their potential to impact multiple systems throughout the body.

HOW WE WORK

Three steps to finally
having answers

01

Book a Call

Start with a discovery call where a member of our team learns about your current concerns and goals. We'll discuss whether our programs and testing options may be a good fit for you and answer any questions you have about the next steps.

02

Explore Advanced Testing

We use advanced functional testing to provide deeper insight into factors that may be worth exploring further such as mold and mycotoxins, heavy metals, environmental toxins, hormone patterns, and digestive health. Kits ship directly to your home, and our team walks you through the results in an easy-to-understand way.

03

Build Your Personalized Roadmap

No more piecing together information from Google, social media, or conflicting opinions. Our programs provide the education, guidance, and support needed to help you better understand your health data and create a personalized path forward.
