A cure all for low energy and fatigue?!

Once upon a time I suffered from sooooo much fatigue.

I had low energy and wanted to have a clear mind and focus

My health journey began similarly to many of you… I was looking high and low for credible information to help me feel better & live a healthier life.

As many of you have found, there is tons of incorrect, misleading and outdated information out there.

While I was struggling with my health, I tried numerous “solutions.”

I tried becoming a raw vegan…

eating 1 meal per day,...

the keto — fruitarian — low fat — juice cleanses, – you name it…I tried it.

…and the list goes on and on…

I want to share with you what I wish I had learned earlier so that you can live an empowered, optimal, and healthy life.

This information comes from lessons I learned through my own health journey, paired with knowledge obtained through my doctorate education and clinical experience.

So, over the next few weeks I will share things I wish I had learned earlier in my healing journey!

  1. You don't have to follow every trendy diet

Balance is key! The most important part of a healthy lifestyle is eating a diet rich in quality foods. Rather than cutting calories, focus on getting quality nutrients through a diet that includes a balance of organic protein, healthy fats, vegetables and fruit.

Over the last 50 years, our food has changed drastically. We see a massive increase in processed foods, fast foods, and pesticides on produce. There is a correlation to the increase in almost every chronic disease out there including diabetes, heart disease and obesity to the change in our food and diet.

Most trendy diets, such as carnivore, keto, low calorie, and vegan eliminate essential food groups that provide us with important nutrients. When we fo

cus on eating real food, we don't need to restrict calories and food groups. We can enjoy a variety of foods that provide us with essential vitamins and minerals.

So why is it so important to eat a balanced diet?

- Our brain, adrenal glands, and hormones need high quality fats to function properly.

- Carbohydrates provide our body with energy needed to run the “engines” of the body.

- Protein is the building block of the tissues and muscles in our body

- Fruits provide our body with antioxidants that help fight inflammation in our body.

When we cut out entire food groups, we are cutting out essential nutrients that we need for our body to function properly and optimally.

I hope these tips help to demystify some of the questions around diet. I am on a mission to provide health tips and information to empower you to be your own advocate for your health!

Love and gratitude,

Dr. Torrie
